Description:
Orange/ tan female tabby cat
2 years old
declawed in the front
fixed and has shot records
little pink toes and fizzy feet
pink nose and beautiful green eyes.
very long whiskers and little fuzzy ears
she has black speckles on her mouth, its real cute.
she has orange stripes on her arms and head
we believe she is mixed with persian but not sure.
she is a little sassy, very sweet and affectionate and likes lots of attention. she is very playful too.
she is also microchipped -i never switcher her chip from the previous owner but the info is included if you wish to register her under your own name.
ABOUT HER:
Her previous owner was not honest with me when I adopted her which really upset me. I personally just went through the loss of my cat of 16 years and getting a new cat was already hard enough to do , but to also get a cat that was different than described was also upsetting. as well as spending all this extra money that i did not have to try and correct all the unknown(at the time) issues she had . Basically her previous owner told me nothing useful and I was kinda just on my own to figure it all out. There is nothing wrong with her, but if i had been told all the information that I am providing you with below, I think she could have been placed in a better fitting home for her specific needs.
Her previous owner did not feed her enough food and she was very underweight and bloated when I got her. She eats a lot of kibbles throughout the day and drinks a ton of water. As for soft food, she only likes pate, but really likes fancy feast broth, she will not eat any chunked, flaked or shredded style of cat food. I switched her food from Kirkland brand(she came with, which is basically junk food filler kibbles) to Blue Buffalo-sensitive stomach formula(full 7lb bag will be included with her), I have also been giving her a scoop of GNC digestive support powder in her food every friday(bottle is pretty full, this is her 3rd week using it-also included). her fur has gotten sooo much softer since her food has changed.
When I got her she had an upset stomach and a hard time adjusting to her new (more nutritious & filling) food. That problem is now resolved and she is slowly gaining weight and her sides are no longer sensitive or bloated. Her previous owner also told me later after I had adopted her that she locked her in the bathroom by herself for weeks. so she finds comfort in sitting in the bathroom or in a corner of a quiet room sometimes. She really likes to sit in the window and in the sunshine. She likes to go under the blankets with you for a few minutes, but does not like to be covered with a blanket when she is sleeping.
She has not gone to the bathroom on any rugs or outside of her box. when i got her,she had(inside the box only) a stress spray issue- that has since been resolved with the new cat box and a different brand of litter-we found the right combination to make her more comfortable. We also purchased an expensive synthetic cat pheromone diffuser to also calm her and correct her stress spraying. although the current diffuser is almost gone, you can have the wall plug in and refills can easily be found for cheap on amazon, it works pretty well. She goes to the bathroom a lot because the new food is still synching up with her system.her previous owner had kept her cat box pretty dirty and we have been slowly getting her out of that habit and used to a cleaner box. she is now ok with all waste being removed from the box without problems.
she is a lap cat, she enjoys sitting on your chest or lap often.
she is a little bit talkative when she wants(its sorta raspy and sassy but shes not being mean
she purrs very loudly and sometimes drools when she is happy
she sometimes sits on command
she comes to kitty kitty and doesnt respond to her given name, so feel free to change her name to what you'd like.
she doesnt bite, but will turn to nip you(without biting, she just puts her teeth against you only) if you happen to pull her long whiskers while petting her.
I have not tried to brush her yet.
she likes chin scratches and head scratches and kisses!
she does not like to be pat on her sides (due to sensitivity from her previous bloat and stomach ache)
she likes a lot of attention and it would be ideal if she was the only pet in the house but she gets along with dogs and wants to play and chase them. i would not recommend small children. she is a little bit skittish if you move too sudden(at first) but will warm up to you. she becomes a little jealous if does not get your all attention.sometimes she will huff and jump off to go do something else if you take too long.
she gets up early around 7-8 am for some reason. she is usually tired by 9pm. she has a loud motor when being pet and gets really excited when playing.
she is a little sassy and sweet and really just wants all your attention and love. it would be ideal to find her an older person without kids or other pets who has patience to get to know her and help her learn some rules and get a routine going and give her a lot of attention.
she does not like taking medicine or drops in her mouth or being wiped with any cloths ,she gets really upset.
THINGS THAT COME WITH HER:
-7lb bag of Blue Buffalo Sensitive stomach formula
-GNC digestive support powder(to be given weekly-easy to mix in fancy feast broths)
-a few bags of snacks(soft snacks only right now, hard ones upset her stomach)
-a bag of natural calming snacks(likes them to be broken into smaller bits and mixed with her other soft snacks in smaller bits)

-one large gray purr pad to nap on

if i missed anything or you have any additional questions please let me know.
the reason i am looking to rehome her is because i feel we are not a good fit for each other and i would like to place her in a home with someone she feels more comfortable and happy with. i do not want to take her to a shelter because i want to make sure she is placed in a proper loving home that fits her needs and personality. I spent time getting to know her and making sure she is healthy, but we are just not a good match for each other and this is not the right household for her.I want to do whats best for her. I am also moving 2x in the next few months for work and i would rather not have her go through several more moves and just find her a permanent home that works better for her.
please reply with the following information if you are interested in her:
-tell me a little bit about yourself and your household(just a few sentences at minimum please.for example what do you do for work, do you have any other kids or pets, are you very active or home a lot?)
-why you are looking to adopt a cat and what interests you about this specific cat.
-do you have previous experience owning and caring for a cat or is this your first time owning a cat.
and if you have any additional questions for me about her. thank you.
there is a re-homing fee of $150 which includes everything listed above. she is located in the reno area. the fee is to ensure she goes to a good home and for all the extras that she comes with.
